Cleaning my bedroom?
Question:You (parents I suppose,if not parents still...) know how you want your children's bedroom to look like, right?Well, please give me good tips on how to keep my bedroom tidy and clutter free.I like it when my bedroom looks very neat and organized, but usually it just doesn't work.It ALWAYS looks cute and I wouldn't say there is extreme mess, but if you look at the details of it all and the closets, drawers, etc. it is way too messy.I suppose you could help me!Thank you!♥
P.S. I am 13 if htat information is needed.

I remember being 13 and having the same problem! One thing I did to make it look nicer was to take everything off the 'flat surfaces' in my bedroom. The I sorted through the little things, and put them in a better place--for instance, I had perfume bottles, lotion, brushes, etc. that I moved to the bathroom. I put all my pictures and posters away until I found a better place for them, and added them back to the room slowly. Now to keep my room clean (I'm age 30-something now) I always start by making the bed, then putting the clothes in the hamper, then cleaning off the flat surfaces in the room. As for your closest, get rid fo any clothes you don't want, then re-hang them neatly. I use my index finger to space my clothes, so that they are one 'index-finger' apart. That keeps them looking more uniform. Your drawers will look nicer if you use dividers for things like socks and underwear. A cheap way to divide things is to get out the making tape and cardboard, and cut it to fit the width of your drawer. Sometimes I will have to re-fold the things in my drawer to get it looking neater, but its worth it to get that feeling of accomplishing something for yourself! I think its great that you want to be cleaner than you already are. Your mom must be proud. If she's not, then I am!
Not a parent..but was a messy kid. After I got my own place and had to keep it up myself I learned a lot. Put things away if you are not using them, have basket for stuff. I have a huge tall dresser, on top I have baskets. I can put some of my "mess" in them. Still looks clean, adds to the room...
Also do not just stuff things into a closet. organize and fold clothing. Folding clothing takes up a lot less space then bundled up clothing.
well when you get something out put it up. that way it stays clean and it wont get messy!
I think the best way to stay organized are containers. It's nice to be organized, but most of the time we don't keep it up and the daily maintenance becomes overwhelming, but if you have assigned containers that you can throw things in to, it becomes manageable. Ex: container for pictures, container for letters, etc... There are a lot of great containers to choose from that are quite chic
