Why are ladybirds / ladybugs living in my bathroom !???

Question:This is wierd - i noticed about 2-3 months ago we have a LOT of ladybirds / ladybugs in our new bathroom - they are gathered around the windows ( new - larch wood ) and i wondered if they were attracted to the smell of the wood or soemthing.? they cannot have come OUT of the wood. They are only in this one room and the whole house has the same windows - UH? wierd...there have been up to 20 at a time wandering around,.the rest of the room is tiled and brand new so its a mysetry.! Any ideas ?

Answers:
They are hanging out in there because it is warm. if you open the windows once it starts to warm up outside they will fly right out!

There may be a gap just small enough for them to get through around the window. It could be worse, it could be roaches.
If these ladybugs have an orange color vs. a red color then they are Mexican Beetles not lady bugs and you will need to call an exterminator. Ladybugs are true red. Take a closer look and you will be able to tell. They could have hatched in the new wood.
Lady bugs won't hurt anything and you should be able to catch them and shoo them out the window. It's almost impossible to get rid of Mexican Beetles, I know we had them!!
old wives tale.... count yourself lucky money is coming yourway with alot of great new changes. That is what i always heard about lady bugs infecting the home. It really has something to do with the weather. And no need to do anything they die quickly more or less your problem will be haveing to sweep them out of the house when they die and fall in the floor
