HELP! I spilled nail polish on my oak dining room table.?

Question:I wiped it up very quickly, but I could still see it, so I used just a tiny bit of polish remover. Now it's dull where I used the remover. Any suggestions?

Answers:
The active ingredient in most nail polish remover is acetone (check the back label on your bottle.) Acetone is a solvent. This chemical has completely ruined the finish on the top of this table. The only way to make it look normal again is to refinish the top. Sorry.

Use some old english on it. or any wax.

Wow. That sucks
