How to remove toothpaste from carpet??

Question:my child got in to the toothpaste while i was in the shower i tried to scrub a spot as soon as i found it but it foamed so bad it made it worse so i have let it dry and it is dry and hard any suggestions?

Answers:
try a mix of vinegar and baking soda (like the volcanoes you made in school) It's a great cleaning agent

get the spot wet again to soften it back up. Scrap up what you can, Add some salt to the water to help reduce foaming and scrub it with a brush, blot with a towel, it won't keep foaming forever, just keep at it. Is the child old enough to help clean?
