How do I get a butter stain out of my shirt?
Question:
Answers:
Use a dish soap, like Dawn or Joy. I used joy to get an oil stain out of a shirt and it worked like a charm!
Just dab it on, scrub and rinse, repeat if necessary- don't dry it until you're sure the butter is out- you don't want the oils to set into the clothing. =)
bleach
Use dish soap, some of the degreasing kind. Just apply to the spot and rub it in and rinse.
what kind of BUTTER? LOL
Put dawn on it for 15 minutes before washing
Try Dawn, I use it all the time for laundry pretreating.
Use some "Dawn" Dish-washing liquid. Other brands won't work. Squeeze a small amount on the stain and let it set.10 minutes should be long enough. Than wash it in the warmest temperature your shirt can take. It should be gone after that. Bye
Either use Dawn dish soap, or believe it or not, baby powder.
I keep an extra one just for butter and grease spills on clothes.
When someone told me to try it I thought it was crazy, but works every time.
Put the powder on the spot, keep it there for a few hours or overnight, shake the powder off, and wash.
Not corn starch powder though.
I have done this AFTER drying the clothes, and it still worked.
Lestoil (which can be found in walmart and some grocery stores) is a great product for getting out any type of grease stains, which includes butter. follow the directions on the bottle and it should take it out easily. also, whatever you do, do not put the shirt in the dryer until youre satisfied with the stain removel because once its exposed to the heat of the dryer, the stain will set and will be impossible to remove.
