What takes stains, such as rust, off of stainless steal Knives?

Question:We have J.A. Henckels that are supposed to be stainless steal. They have stains and rust and we never put them through the dishwasher. Does anyone know how to get this off my knives?

Answers:
WD-40

Lime-Away works really good on other things. That would be my first suggestion.
Steel wool or baking soda paste.
stainless steel won't rust. Wash them by hand.
David B is right WD40. I had to use it on my knives too.
I just found a new website that is completely dedicated to rust and corrosion. I found a product on the website that is specifically for removing rust stains from metal :http://www.corrosionconnection.com/page/...
I hope this helps
