Drycleaning?
Question:can you wash dryclean only shirts? What will happen if you do?
Answers:
It depends on what they're made out of. You could ruin the dye on the fabric. I have a pair of polyester pants that said dry clean only, but I've been washing them on gentle for years. You could try gently hand washing it if you want to experiment. But use cold water and Woolite. Depends on the fabric and why they want you to dry clean it.
You could wash dryclean only shirts but it would only mess them up. I would suggest to take them to the drycleaners but if that's too costly then get Dryel.
I have bought alot of dry clean only "cheap blouses" over the years. Most of them work fine with cold water wash "delicate" and air drying. A few of my blouses have been ruined, so I would only suggest the washer method with a blouse you are willing to ruin. A couple of the items weathered the wash cycle okay, but then got ruined by the iron (even on low settings). 50/50 chance so don't try it on an expensive garment.
