How can you get Sharpie Black Super Permanent Marker off of wood?
Question:My 1 year old got a hold of my husbands Sharpie and drew all over the carpet and my desk.(I was in the restroom for a minute) Does anyone know how to take care of this?

try nail polish remover, goo-gone, mr.clean magic eraser and for the carpet.
Sandpaper, and refinish the surface.

Try the Magic Eraser by Mr. Clean...it's the BEST thing I have EVER used to clean...(and trust me when I tell you it's gotten things clean I never thought would be clean-looking again!)...If this won't do it...nothing will...permanent marker is usually, well, permanent...
As far as your carpet...I would call a professional carpet cleaning service and ask what they recommend...
Try this. Go to an auto parts store and buy a small jar of Mothers Mag & Amuminum Polish. Its a white cream like Ponds. Test in an unseen area first! Take a little bit on a cotton rag and gently rub until the ink comes off. If you rub too much or the underlying surface is rather inexpensive you many end up with a light spot. It will put a shine on everything so you'll have to use pledge when your done to try to even things up.
Mr Clean Magic Eraser and water. I know, it sounds silly, but it works. i got marker on our dining room table while making a sign, and it came off easily. the carpet, you should shampoo. and i am SO SORRY about your sharpie-accident.
This sounds crazy, I sure thought it was when I was first told, but I promise you it works like a charm...If you will go over the marks with a dry erase able marker then wipe it with a dry cloth like you were removing the dry erase marks the sharpie marks will come off too And it saves the shine and surface of your wood finish.
