Is there a way to quiet down the motor/sound of a vacuum cleaner without buying a new one?

Question:The one I have is a Bissell. It's great except for the noise. It's only 3 months old and bought brand new at Costco.

Answers:
Probably not much because the noise comes from the motor. You can make sure the vacuum bag and filter are always clean, and that may make a small but noticeable difference.

Not much you can do.
If the noise is hurting your ears, try using a disposable foam ear plug when you vacuum. This will cut down on the noise considerably.Good luck.
Take it back it's only 3 months old. It should last longer. If they don't take it call the company.
