People, thank you all for giving solutions to my awful tiles!!Another question I want to pose is?
Question:In case the mildew won't come off, do all these bathroom paints work?I mean they won't be affected by water, heat e.tc?Has anyone of you had his/her bathroom painted?
Answers:
I have painted a bathroom before and we used a product called kills and its supposed to help with keeping mold away. Good luck.
I've painted my bathrooms several times over. The mildew can be scraped off with a putty knife, and then a solution of bleach and water can be used. I try to use an oil based paint in the high humidity areas. It is more resistant to the water. good luck.
Before you paint, you should clean off any mildewed areas with household bleach diluted with water. The correct paint to use would be a waterproof paint sometimes known as a Marine Paint.Nowadays you can also buy Acrylic paint that is specially made for bathrooms.Remember ventilate to keep out mildew. Good Luck!
You can add Mildewcide to your paint when painting the bathroom it will retard the growth of spores that cause mildew and mold on the walls so you won't have to clean. Good Luck !
