Where do all the odd socks go after being in a washing machine?
Question:I now have a collection of three carrier bags full of odd socks- does anyone know where they go to????

After you have done the 'marriage bureau' thing, matching up socks that were made for each other, any sock that hasn't found its life partner can find a place at the local charity shop.
Charity shops can't sell everything that's offered to them, anything worn or stained goes into the 'rag bag' for the rag man who pays them for the bags of clothes he collects and sells it for reprocessing. It gets made into fleeces, packing materials, etc., so take your bags of socks to the charity shop and tell them it's for the rag man, they'll take them off your hands.

I am the queen of losing socks. I'm pretty convinced there is a one-legged sock gnome who steals them.
They have been eaten by the sock monster. Seriously though, I think they are inside the machines and if you would pull out the wash tub or the cylindar of the dryer, they would be in there. Just a guess though

I'm convinced I have my own Bermuda triangle in my machine. We'll have to pool all our odd socks together and see how many matching pairs we can make!
logically you'd have to say that they either get stuck to the drum of the machine or they don't actually make it into the was. However I prefer a more X-files explanation. 'I wan't to believe'.

Sometimes they choose to come back and appear under the sofa and sometimes they choose to stay and you never see them again!!
The Sock Monster eats the socks before they go in the machine.
You think you've put both socks in the machine, but after you take them out you realise that they were eaten before they went in the machine!
they go into the DRIER lol actually they seriously go under the agitator of the washer! its actually embarrassing when the repair guy comes out and fishes out all the socks lol

Well if you have a dog , then that´s your answer, I used to have the same problem. I always made sure that when sorting out the clothes , I´d put the sock´s in pairs, But One day when my daughter came to visit,and of course the dog came too. I had just finished a load of washing & stopped for a coffee with my daughter. From the corner of my eye I saw the dog walk past with a sock in it´s mouth. We both turned & look at each other & said at the same time. NOW WE KNOW WHAT HAPPENS ´TO THE SOCKS.
