Did you know that aspartame sweetener (Equal) makes a good ant repellent. Sprinkle some around your baseboards, and try putting some in a little bowl of apple juice. If the ants take it back to the colony, they'll kill the whole colony.
I have a friend who has this problem they got some stakes from Lowes and they placed them outside the house all around the house and they do not have ants anymore. She told me it was better than the ant hotels.
Try pouring powdered Comet or powdered boric acid across where they travel into the house.
Sprinkle Borax powder around the house (i.e. cracks, corners, inside of cabinets) wherever you see the ants. They will carry it back to the rest of the ants, & once they consume it they will die off. Baking soda can be substituted if one is sensitive to chemicals and/or has small children in the home.
got to walmart and get ant terro you put a couple of drops were the ants can get them and they'll be gone in a matter of days. Don't be confussed it will bring a boat load of ants to the drops to begin!
I have sprinkled coffee grounds around the base of my house and then through out the summer added cucumber peelings. I don't have an ant problem now
i had ants coming in through the front and back doorways that go outside , I found out ant spray works the best for killing them getting rid of ants
Black pepper will keep them away , it wont kill them but it might stop them coming in. If you can find the place they are coming from , put the pepper all around the opening of their tunnels, once they carry that inside to their tunnels,ACHOO, they will move on
