How can I make a pair of dark blue jeans fade quickly?

Answers:
Keep putting it in the washing machine...Let it sit in bleach for a while..
Bleach
Wear them a lot and wash them a lot... Bleach them.
The professionals use a combination of bleach and stones (typically pumice, it's a tad easier on the equipment) in a front-loading style "tumble" washer.
I wouldn't recommend putting stones in your washer; but don't let me stop you...
Put them in the washing machine with LOTS of bleach. Let them just sit there for a while and then let them go through the whole cycle including rinse.
Bleach 'em! Yup. Grab the Clorox bottle and follow the instructions for washing. That's the safe way.
I've done it two ways that are not safe, but worked for me.
I've smear-patted bleach on with hot water, literally watched the fabric fade to perfection, and heavily rinsed with cold water.
I've also tied the jeans in knots before washing in bleach to get a blotchy fade. It worked. Was fun; but, my preferred method was the former because I got the fade where I wanted it.
It's probably needless to say, but ... since I'm a mother ... the cost of your jeans may determine the amount of risk you're willing to take.
Please don't bleach $200 pants. Maybe your local laundry lady will "distress" them for you.
Good Luck!
plenty of washes and possibly a little bleach added to the wash powder - a little though.
Wash them everyday.
I still have a box of jean fade from the 70's. I am certain a product like that is still out there in the fabric dye section of your local store
