Stains on towels out after they have been dried?
Question:I got 10 new really nice towels as a wedding gift and when I washed them two bright orange ones came out with bluish black marks all over them. I had bright pink and green towels in, so I thought they would be fine together. I was in a rush and didn't even check them before tossing them in the dryer and now I don't know if I will be able to get the stains out? Did the dryer set the stains in permanently? I tried Shout and that didn't work. Also - does anyone know any tricks for getting mildew spots off of cotton fabrics?
Answers:
count the towels as a lesson learned before someone ask about them, see if your husband can take the balm. now the mold on cotton try using a mechanic's hand cleaner a couple of brands are Gojo or Leaver 2000 you can find them on the automotive section or your locale auto store. simply apply rub in and rinse
um.they're just about ruined now. Did you somehow spill bleach in them? Watch the type of detergent you use... some will make the fabric colors run.
You should always wash brand new brightly colored fabrics by hand the first time or two-the dye bleeds. I doubt it will come out sorry.
they are in there forever unless you cut the stains out
