I have some older water glasses that are turning yellowish and some white coffee cups beginning to stain.?

Question:I rinse everything before putting them into the dish washer. Is there any presoak to restore the glasses to clear and the coffee cups to white?

Answers:
Denture cleaning tablets will work on the coffee cups. Just fill them with water and drop one in each cup. Not sure about the glasses, but you could try it on them. I buy the cheap store brand denture cleaning tablets; they work on my kid's retainer, too.

It sounds like you have too much iron in your water so that the items are being stained with rust. Try soaking them in a solution of Wink [comes in a brown bottle in most grocery & hardware stores] & water to remove the rust. The overall solution is a water softening system.
Try washing them in ice cold water with salt in it. That always works for me.
Soak them in bleach or you can try using a rust remover called whink. You can find it at walmart.
try soaking them in some bleach aka clorox water for 1/2 hour..the yellowish stains may need some clr to clear them up..but try clorox first..i soak all my coffee cups in this every month and it takes all the coffee an tea stains out.. hugssss
Maybe Try getting new Ones?At the dollar store, they have Cheap, yet good cofee cups! But if you want stains out really good, try soaking them in Shout or Clorax.

Hope I Help!
