Febreze is SO expensive, can a person make a home-made version?

Question:

Answers:
2 cups fabric softener
2 cups baking soda
4 cups warm water
OR
1 cup water
1 cup vodka

Mix and Spray. The Fabric Softener solution smells great, but you have to put up with the baking soda clogging.
The Vodka solution, gets rid of odors wonderfully.

Mix liquid fabric softner and water. Get an empty spray bottle (25 or 27 oz) fill 3/4 cup of fabric softner and the rest with water.

They have a cheaper version at the dollar tree.
you could either mix 1 part liquid fabric softener to 3 parts water, OR you could try Clorox FreshCare, its just like Febreze but its made by Clorox.I find that it works MUCH better than Febreze and the scent actually lingers longer and it penetrates the fabric so you only have to spray it once without dousing it with the product. Its cheaper too, only about $2.50 a bottle.
Most stores now have their own version, they work just as well! For carpets and upholstery just use straight baking soda---sprinkle on let sit and then vac it out.
No, the ingredients that make Febreze work are not going to be available to you. The best thing that you can do is to look for a cheaper store brand that works for you.
Try Fabuloso. Its a multi-use cleaner. Put it in a spray bottler. Smells great and its cheap. You can get it at Walmart or any dollar store. The one I use is Passion of Fruits.
