as the belt broken ?is the drum going round.
sound like the heating coils aren't working, take the close out of the drum, run the dryer for 10-15mins, open the drum, and check see if the inside is full of warm air.
Exhaust is clogged with lent.
Sounds like it needs a new heating element. They go bad after awhile. Call the store where you got it ,to order a new one. I'm not sure how easy they are to replace. We have always had a serviceman come to our house to install a new one.
You didn't say if it's gas or electric, so I'll just say check the vent hose, the vent itself and the vent outlet including the chamber. Many times these areas become clogged, not allowing enough air circulation.
There are several things that can cause the clothes not to dry in your dryer. 1) Heating elements not getting hot enough 2) Airflow restricted 3) Clothes too wet before you put them in to the dryer. When you checked for the air coming out, was it hot, warm, or cold? Might need to replace that part! Check to see if you can feel any kind of blockage anywhere around the filter or the exhaust on the drier. Also check the same thing through the exhaust tube all the way to where it goes outside your house. I'd love to hear what you found.
That's a long time to dry clothes that aren't getting dry. I think I would have shut it off after one hour, howeverrrrrrr, it could be that you don't know about the lint trap. A very common problem with clothes not drying. I am sending you a link which might help. If you already took care of the lint filter then we would have to delve a little further. But I would say, clean the lint filter first.
Have you cleaned your filter? There isn't much to go wrong with most driers, but, I know from experience that if your filter is clogged then it will take hours to dry your clothes.
are the filters clean..??
my old tumble drier use to do this ...try this ..we had a switch at the back of our drier ..if u have 1 push it and wait for the click noise then u shud have heat again ..its normally a warning that the filter needs cleaning ..or just that it get overheated some times.my new 1 has a switch or button 2 so im sure most models have
