Try baking soda. Wipe out the inside with vinegar, and then put the baking soda in. In an extreme case I would say to unplug it, take it outside in the sun and let it really air out. Check your water line and underneath it also.
Have you tried using vinegar? Pour some down the drain holes in your freezer. Wash everything down with vinegar if you have not tried it yet. Good Luck
cut a lemon in half- rub half of it around fridge shelves etc- leave a few hours ,then clean it,and leave other half on shelf in fridge overnight, it will neutralize the odour. tried and tested.
Try the small filters placed inside the top of the fridge. There should be a couple of screws near the center, take it out and clean it or replace it. After that, take out all the food, toss old plastic containers, get new trays for ice, and wash everything down with hot bleachy soapy water. DRY EVERYTHING before putting it back in, that should help. Also, place boxes of baking soda in the fridge and freezer after you clean them.
I don,t no if this will work but i was told to clean my fridge with bicarbanate of soda this may work gd luck.
Clean your fridge with clorox clean up, Soak your Ice cube trays in Bleach water for a couple minutes, Rinse very well with hot water. and then place a box of Arm & Hammer baking soda in the fridge, and one in the freezer. this should take care of your problem. Good Luck
better idea - I found the perfect product that I've used for years and know dozens of other people that use it. It is a product called FRIDGE IT carbon odor absorbers. It is a little purple cube with an incredible activated carbon filter inside that is really, really, great. The carbon literally absorbs and eliminates the odors and works for a long time. It works so much better than baking soda and all those sprays, and fragrances that just cover up smells and doesn't get rid of them. Also, alot of sprays have warning statements about being eye irritant. and gels and oils that say keep away from fabric, etc. and just don't eliminate odors. Just put a couple of these in your fridge and freezer and ice maker. I use this product everywhere including car(smoke and pet smells), storage, closets, my fridge and also under sinks, near trash and have friends that use it on cat litter box and also diaper pails - it's that good. I really recommend it. You can buy it in kitchen gadget sections in stores like walmart and linens and things. I also think camping world sells it. Definitely worth trying
