Stuck on yuck, cleaning my stove, need help!?
Question:I've run out of easy off and was wondering if there's an alternative product to cleaning my yucky stove. I have all kinds of crap on the bottom, can you help?
Answers:
nope, put the job on hold till you can get another can of easy-off. it's the best. Start using the microwave and you won't have to clean up a mess like that.
go to the store in the cleaning section.
turn it of full for a few hrs thatll burn it off
the oven or the stove? Inside the oven I don't know, but the top can be cleaned with Mr Clean Magic Eraser, it works great.
Put the cooker on high for a while - this softens all the dirt and crumbs and then use some of the white liquid gumption that's about - a good scrub too and it should come up like new.
do you have a scrub brush or brillo pad if so wet the brillo pad really well and scrub away if not use a scrub brush and get the gunk out..
Mr. Clean sponges will do it. And there are no harmfull chemicals. Also baking soda on a hot wet rag will work well too.
Mr. Clean pad works well. Another cleaner that I have used is Simple Green. Spray on full power, then use a sponge and it cleans right up. Also, once you clean the oven, you can purchase non-stick oven liners at stores such as Linens N Things or Bed, Bath & Beyond. You stick it on the bottom of the oven and pull it out when it is dirty and wipes clean.
Spray it with Windex or any type of window cleaner.
I have mixed Windex and a few drops of dawn then spray it on the gunk.works great.
I tried this while cleaning rental property where the water was turned off.
I have used Windex & Dawn dish soap to clean my oven. The Windex or any other ammonia based window cleaner, works well. Spray the oven completely with the window cleaner. Go over it a second time, the more the cleaner it'll get. If you have a lot of junk on your the oven glass on the inside, spray it with window cleaner & then add some Dawn dish soap to the glass. Scrub the glass & door until a paste is made of the two cleaner. Then shut the over doors for about an hour, depending on how dirty the oven is. Wipe off the oven door glass & oven door. Reapply, if necessary some more cleaner to a Brillo or SOS bad to remove all of the left on yuk, that may still be on the door. After that sets on the door & glass a little longer, wipe off with paper towel. Then wipe the oven out with a damp cloth or damp paper towels. Spray more window cleaner where needed. (loosen the stuff on the bottom of the oven with a metal spatula) Once the oven is clean, wipe out the oven with a damp cloth & rinse out the cloth often. If there are streaks, use the window cleaner. I've used this method many times & it will work for you.
I use baking soda and a scrubber, or if its a really dirty oven I use a concentrated citrus cleaner from Bi-O-Kleen (http://biokleenhome.com/products/househo...
Both of them are safe to breath and safe to use without gloves. If you have no animals and you can be out of the house for a while you could also use your oven's self cleaning cycle.
