How do you get sharpie out of a table?
Question:It's not a wood table, it's more of a plastic material (i'm not quite sure what kind though)
Answers:
With Sharpies I am not sure anything works...BUT try Mr. Clean Erasers...THEY R GREAT!!!
try using rubbing alcohol to get the stain out.
i was told to use rubbing alcohol
or hydrogen peroxide.
rubbing alcohol is a lot more
efficient though.
Try "goof-off" Its sold at home depot and it works.
i would say try soap and a plastic scrub pad and lighty work the stain off. or if that does not work and your more the fix it type...
lightly sand and stain it on the underside to see if the stain takes. or you might find a scratch pen of the same color and cove the pen marks.
alcohol would be the first thing to try.
Second would be model aircraft fuel with 20% or higher nitromethane content. That removes permanent ink from almost any non-porous material.
If the surface is porous.. these will drive it deeper and you'll NEVER get it out. (but you wouldn't get it out anyway...)
use acetone...aka nail polish remover.
get a mr.clean magic eraser it realy does work!
try nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol if those don't work you can get a remover in a hardware store called 'goof off' it's about $4.00 a can it has a really strong smell is the reason that i recommend it last but if the others don't work then this will
DO NOT use acetone. Acetone on plastic will remove the ink but it will also remove the finish from the table top. Try hairspray before you try the alcohol. It's the alcohol in the hairspray that will remove the stain; but I think straight alcohol might, possibly, also mar the finish of the table. If the whole table is plastic test it on the under side first. Better safe than sorry. Good luck.
try alcohol or aqua net aerosol hairspray.
