How do you ge the adhesive residue from masking tape off of the inside of a shoe?
Question:I got this pair of shoes from a yard sale. The lady used masking tape on the inside sole for pricing it. Now I have the adhesive residue that won't come off. I tried using rubbing alcohol but that didn't work. Any suggestions?
Answers:
Goof Off
Goo gone
Zippo lighter fluid, or goof off
fingernail polish remover, acetone, works for me.
You can try Goo-Gone Stain Remover. I used it earlier this week to remove labels from glasses I bought at Goodwill.
There is an easy answer to this!! Baby oil!! A small amount of baby oil on a Q-tip or piece of cotton will get that out no problem. Just be prepared to use a little elbow grease while scrubbing of the inside of that shoe!
I had the same problem so I cut a piece of duct tape and applied it to the adhesive. It pulled off most to the label, so I kept using it until all of it was lifted.
If you use a liquid, be careful not to saturate the spot. It could ruin the material.
