I spilled pool shock in my car. Any ideas on how to get the smell out?

before you let it air out, you should get a carpet cleaner (if you have one...or borrow if from a friend) and pretend its's your carpet...and clean away. this should remove most of the shock. it will most likley smell for a while because there might be a little left in all the crevises and corners of your car, so let your car air out on the weekend for about the whold day or so and that should lesser the odor some more.hope i helped!.good luck!
I would shampoo the interior do a basic detail and once all is dry use 409 carpet cleaner in the spray can. Let sit a minute then take a scrub brush or sponge and alittle water work it into the interior and let dry then vacuum. This should take care of the biggest part of it. if after a few days the smell remains, sprinkle baking soda onto the carpets and let it stay until the next time you vacuum just brush it into the carpet. wish you lots of luck!
