Electro-static air filters?...?
Question:How do you clean the filter? It is for my heat/ac in y home.
Answers:
Electrostatic filters are usually composed of plastic like materials. If this is the case, you can wash them out with a garden hose. You can use a mile detergent if you would like. For best results, spray it from the back side so the dirt is forced out the same way it entered. Always make sure it is dry before re-installing it.
If your filter contains any paper of cardboard like materials all you can do is attempt to vacuum it or better yet, replace it.
take it outside and hose it off. Stand it up on a corner for the water to drain out & to air dry.
