What do they mean do not dry clean?

Question:Dry cleaning is it putting it in the drier or is it setting it out to dry ????

Answers:
do not take it to the to the dry cleaners . ya think!

Dry cleaning is not recommended for types of items with various finishes and resins because it will remove the resin. The best example I have that is definite is that quilts, for example, that have 100% cotton batting (filling), usually say "do not dry clean". The cotton batting is chemically treated with some sort of resins or glues that keep it from shifting and bunching up.
Dry cleaning is a chemical process which Dry Cleaners use to clean your clothes with dry chemicals and using no water or detergents this is what dry cleaning is. Hope I have answered your question effectively. Good Luck !
Do not dry clean= Don't take it to the dry cleaners!
