I'm not sure about Chaffon material, but I know that wax can be removed from a rug by ironing the wax with a paper bag over it. you may want to try that. It picks up the wax beautifully off of a rug, maybe that'll work for you...
place in freezer for a few hours..wax Will harden and chip out of threads then wash a few times in warm soapy water..air dry if you put in dryer before it's all out it will spread the remaining oils left from wax
