Experience with Flea Bombs?
Question:Hi guys,
I think I've got fleas in my room and I'm planning to get a flea bomb from Raid. The thing is that I've got tons of action figures on my walls and other memorabilia. I've just worried that it'll leave residues or discolor the plastics. Do I need to cover all the items in my room with newspaper ?

but first of all ask yourself why i got this problem
if you don't fix the cause then what ever method you use will only be a temporary fix

Get any plastics and things you eat or drink with out of the room. Then after your done you need to clean everything. Newspaper wont do a thing to protect you.
yes you should cover them...especially plastic ones. and you need to vacuum afterwards..around the baseboards and the furniture too. take the bag outside and dispose of it every time you vacuum (daily).
the fleas can crawl out of the vacuum and reinfest the area. make sure to vacuum though because the eggs do not always die from the bug bomb.

Remove (or cover) ANYTHING that you think could possibly be damaged, then, get your "bug bomb" from a veterinarian. Vets have WAY better stuff than the grocery store.
And for goodness sake follow the vets and the products instructions
Go to a pet store & get the carpet dust (stuff you shake on your carpets before vaccuming to make smell good) made to kills fleas. You must be sure treat your pet for fleas. Then follow the instructions. You may need to repeat in about 2 weeks.
I've used flea bombs before, and the only thing I covered was my counters. I never had any problems with any residue or discoloration. But I did a search and found out that Boric acid or Borax works and is safe. I don't envy you, so I sincerely wish you luck in getting rid of them.
