My floors looks grey within a day of cleaning them . Its like there is some sort of build-up on them?

Question:how can I get them to stay clean? I wash them every couple of days

Answers:
Try mopping your floors with hot water, bleach, and vinegar. It will help if you have a mop bucket with the wringer on it. The hotter the water the better it will clean. Don't use detergent of any kind to mop with. Detergent will cause the floor to have a build up on them.. If you spill anything on the floor just use a damp mop to get the spill up. I use this method to mop and it really works.

What kind of floors? Carpet, linoleum etc?
if the floor is a natural stone then u need to seal it cause the dirty water is just soaking in and causing the greyness
what are you using?what kind of floors? it happened to me when i put in too much lysol/pine sol but it can also be from using the swiffer or any of those disposable products, they leave a film of soap,i'm guessing that attracts more dirt when you walk on it.try using about 1/2 cup of cleaner to your full bucket, rinse with a clean water and bleach solution, about 1/4 cup bleach.
A coat of floor wax will help keep dirt from grinding into linoleum.
