How to remove fresh motor oil statins from clothing (t-shirts,some have logos)??
Question:Accidently set laundry bag atop of an oil pan and the cover was not closed tightly. Most of the laundry (previously washed) absorbed the oil that had pooled on the top.

I have two suggestions!
1)Try using Greased Lightning. You can find it at Wal-Mart or other similar stores. It offers directions on using in the wash for oiled clothing.
2)Soak the garments in a solution of water an d OxyClean. This stuff works miracles, have used it to remove various stains in the past. It is safe on just about all fabrics. Can also be found at Wal-MArt or various stores.
I use to work in a garage and got old motor oil on my clothes, often. I sprayed them with strait Simple Green, and worked it into the stain with a nail brush. The oil always came out.
Yikes! Okay believe it of not Dawn dish washing liquid works pretty well. You need to get the stain out of the clothes as quickly as possible may want to try cat litter. It will absorb the excess grease. Good luck
Try DeSolvIt. Available at Ace Hardware. Spray on-rub a little, rinse, pretreat and wash as usual.
