How do I remove tree sap from the rubber seats of a swingset?

Question:We recently bought a used wood built swingset. The rubber seats have alot of black tree sap or something on them from being outdoors for so long, what can I use to remove this?
I've already tried scrubbing them with soap & water, Mr. Clean erasers, & Clorox Cleanup.
HELP Please!

Answers:
TRY JUST USING RUBBING ALCOHOL

Alcohol.
I would try turpentine followed by mineral spirits if that didn't work. Might remove the gross amount with some sort of scraper first. Try goo gone or lighter fluid too.
Hi,you can use paint thinner, than some lemon oil . Bye
you can get a product called goo gone from hardware stores and I think they also sell it at wall mart. this will do the trick for you.
try sugar soap not sure if it will work but its worth a try. you can get it from your local diy shop
WD-40
