Cleaning walls?
Question:any tips on cleaning white greasy wall
Answers:
Formula 409 and a sponge.
I think that is going to have a lot to do with the type of paint you have on there. Flat paint is almost impossible to remove the greasy build up
I cleaned for the military when the families moved out of housing. My cleaning was inspected and if it want right I had to go back and do it all over again. I would use a sponge and a bucket. Dawn dish soap works grate on grease and hot water. I'd use a sponge mop for the ceilings. Good luck.
HAVE YOU TRIED Mr. Clean Sponges. they do a good job on stains and marks on the walls. If not also you might try some amonia with a litlle water ( wear gloves ).
Mr. Clean Magic eraser
I would try the diluted Dawn (or any other dish soap/grease cutter). Magic Eraser will take paint off the walls, as I've found out the hard way, especially if there's only a light coat, or probably depending on the type of paint (I think gloss is resistant, but flat or maybe even eggshell finish will come off!)
Also if you're buying new dish soap and there's a price difference, no need to get the lemony-fresh types, plain old original blue Dawn (and similar products) do just as well, and sometimes they cost less.
