HELP! Stains on my white capris...?
Question:So I have a pair of adorable cute white capris and they have a couple of stains on them. They've already been pretreated with shout and oxy clean, bleached, and dried..The stains are still there...Any other ideas on how to get the stains out? Home remedies maybe?
Answers:
Home remedy of the day: Soak article of clothing in warm sudsy water (dishwashing liquid). Grab a bar of soap and scrub the stain. If that loosens it up a bit but doesn't get it all out, try Ultra-Brite toothpaste. That stuff gets India ink and/or oil paint out of clothing (at least once the clothing has been pre-treated). At the risk of incurring the wrath of their parent company, I would have to recommend that you don't ever use that stuff on your teeth. Yikes!
Unfortunately, it is much more difficult to get stains out of clothing once the clothing has been washed. This is because any stains which aren't washed out end up being boiled in. :-(
Failing that, get a box of Rit dye in a shade which will mask whatever color the stains are and dye the capris.
Try straight hydrogen peroxide.I have gotten blood out with this several times. Also if you have a DOllar General Store they sell something called M80..its on the wall with laundry care items its a buck fifty and it works. I have saved many a item with it as well. If worse comes to worse and they dont come out then dye them with some RIT dye. At least you can still wear them.
white fabric dye
get some whitening toothpaste a good choice is mentadent baking soda and peroxide. rub it on lightly scrub w/ and old toothbrush and it should come right out you may have to do it a couple of times w/ warm water but it should come right out
