How do i clean old silver with borax and aluminum foil? per haileys hints? anyone know?

Never heard of using Borax, but here's another way using hot water, baking soda, salt, and aluminum foil. It's probably similar...

I know the foil in the bottom of the sink, Arm & Hammer Washing Soda and soaking your silver. The tinfoil is cheaper than buying those special silver cleaning plates.
It's an equal part of baking soda and salt, get a container, big enough to fit the silver, place a piece of foil on the bottom, add the salt and baking soda, add HOT water and put in the container and make sure the silver is touching the foil. Really works.
