My dryer (new maytag) sucks all of the nice fragerance out of my clothes.?
Question:When I wash my clothes, I add fabric softener to add fragerance, and when I dry them in the dryer, the clothes come out smelling like NOTHING. I don't know what's wrong.
Answers:
Try setting your dryer to a lower setting. Maybe it's too hot. If none of the suggestions you get here work, you could try placing some scented sachets or dryer sheets in your closet and dresser drawers, and that will help your clothes smell better.
Use the scented fabric sheets in the dryer so this will not happen. This has happened to me also.

I doubt there's anything wrong with your dryer -- it's probably just strong. Try scented dryer sheets instead of fabric softener (if that's the only reason you're adding fabric softener -- if not, use both). They'll add fresh scent and prevent static!
i live in an apartment so i have to use the washer/ dryers at
laundry mat... and those do the same thing.. what i do is i have a mist bottle with fabric softener and water and i mist the clothes when they come out.. not enough to soak them but a light mist or 2 will work! that works for me.. good luck!
what type of soap are you using and how much are you using? Some soaps will remain active even in you rinse water. One of the jobs of todays soaps is to remove smells. Try buying a scented soap and matching fabric softener. If you still can't smell anything when they are done drying try lowering the temp setting on your dryer.
