No, they are not. Microfiber cloths are just that, CLOTH. AND.microfiber cloths are the best invention ever for cleaning!!! I love using them and most of the time I can clean with a microfiber cloth that is only dampened with clear, warm water. The most important thing to remember with microfiber cloths IS>... Be SURE you do not use liquid fabric softener when washing them and don't use the fabric softener sheets in the dryer either. Using these will reduce the cleaning effects of the microfiber cloth and only detergent should be used in the washing of these cloths. Also, you can dampen them just a BIT and use them to dust. There IS no better dust cloth!! The slightly dampened microfiber cloth will attach itself to any dust present and will hold it until you rinse it out. Nothing better!! I would not use the Handiwipe brand cloths only because they're not microfiber cloths and microfiber cloths are cloth and made to be used for a very long time. Hope this helps!!
Handiwipes are disposable or just several use perforated paper towels that were invented decades ago. Microfiber cloth is a synthetic fabric of much more recent vintage that can be used hundreds of times and washed in a clothes washer.
