Is it ok to wash nonstick pan with dish soap?

Question:i have heard that if you wash it in dish soap it will no longer be nonstick

Answers:
I am assuming you mean Teflon coated pans. You can wash them with regular dish soap. However, I do not recommend putting them in the dishwasher. ;)

It is okay. As long as the Teflon surface is intact, it will retain its non-stick properties.
Of course you can.

It's ok to wash a nonstick pan with dish soap, just make sure you dry it completely.
Just be careful which kind of scrubbie you use. One that is abrasive will ruin the non stick surface
i do!
No, that's not true. It has a non stick finish that is applied to it. They just don't want you to scratch it because the finish will start to peel off. You can use soap, just not a soap-pad,which usually has a rough surface on it. Use a regular sponge.
Yes it's fine, but soak your pan in warm water first. Don't use a wire scrubber though, it will scratch it. Wipe it out with a soft cloth and dry it well. DO NOT USE METAL UTENSILS ON YOU PAN EITHER!
It's fine to use dish soap, and a non abrasive scrubber or a sponge. Do not put the pan in the dishwasher, though. It will eat the coating right off.
Yes you can but don't use a scrubby on it because you could scratch it up.
