How do you clean a feather duster?
Question:
Answers:
Shake out as much dust as possible then put it in the sink and wash it gently with dishwashing detergent. Rinse well and squeeze out as much water as possible then hang it out to dry.
Personally I don't like feather dusters because they just move the dust around instead of picking it up, but they are good for emergency clean ups, so I keep one around the house. I've washed it several times over the years and it still looks like brand new.
I take it outside and shake it vigorously.
Take outside and shake it or use just the vacuum tube very carefully.
You feather duster can be easily cleaned by washing it with baby shampoo and hanging it to dry. To re fluff your duster, use your hair dryer on cool or warm for a couple of minutes.
Good ostrich feather dusters do pick up dust. The other type don't do as good a job.
