How can I take mildew off of a shirt?
Question:The mildew has been there for some time. I have tried spray and wash, hand de-greasers, and other things but nothing works.

Have you tried Oxi Clean? Mildew is difficult to remove. If the clothes have a heavy odor not even bleach will remove it but the method below looks pretty good.

The second has a different method and looks like they use something like Oxi Clean as part of the method. It is worth looking at.
bleach if its white
dye it a strong dark colour if not
Use Clorox, or a bleach that is safe on color fabrics....
