This has happened to me before. This is what I did get a piece of paper towel. Get an iron. The wax will melt into the towel. With that will remove the wax from the carpet. It really does work.
For the wall just wait for the wax to get hard. Once the wax is hard get a knife & it will peel right off.
Fire extinguisher
try damp paper towel's and an iron to get it out of the carpet, the wax should just flake off the wall, hopefully it's got a gloss paint
1st off before you have horzontal relations you should move the cendles out of the way...secondly i heard that putting wax paper over the stains and use an iron on it...
You can put a newspaper over the spilled wax on the carpet and use a hot iron over it. That should make it easy to remove. I've never had to do it - but my mother swears by it.
Goo Gone for candle wax works great on the carpet. I had that happen not too long ago. As for the walls... try using a butter knife to gently scrape it off. If you leave it set for a couple days and get really hard it should just pop right off.
wait till it dries and iron over grease proof paper until it is all gone
If u mean how can u remove the wax:
after it is hardened pull off all the large pieces.
then put a few layers of paper towels on the wax and rub an iron over the paper towels. this will melt the wax onto the paper towels. be sure to change the towels often.
First try to scrape off as much as possible, then get some De-Solv-It. It will literally "melt" the wax right off. And you should see what it does to melted, stuck on gum on anything. I always have it on my shelf. It is safe to use on anything.
Here's a site to read about it, but you can generally buy this stuff even in grocery stores, Wal-Mart, etc.
try using a hairdryer to heat it and then scrape it off
use ice to harden it first, and flake off as much as you can before you try using an iron and something absorbent to soak up the remainder
I do not know that one i am sorry
eucalyptus oil and scratching it.
some have already said, but this has a couple of added things to make sure you don't cause more problems
You will need: Hot Clothes iron; absorbant paper (paper towel or newspaper)
If you use newspaper, rub it on a clean sheet of paper to make sure the print doesn't come off (some smaller newspaper companies have that type of ink)
You may want to test the iron on a hidden piece of carpet first.
Find a place behind a sofa or something and put paper down before ironnig over the paper. Does the carpet get warm without any melt of scorch marks?
Now do the same on the wax. the wax melts and is absorbed ito the paper. Change paper if you need to go over again.
Good luck
believe it or not but i have done this before... i got told that baby oil removes wax. not sure about carpet though
Put a brown paper sandwich bag over the wax and then hot iron over it, the paper absorbs the melted wax
If you are not afraid of getting you carpet wet boiling water should work.
If u mean how can you remove the wax after it has hardened, the cheapest and best way is to pull off all the large pieces by hand or with a blunt knife so as to not damage the carpet fibres then place a few layers of paper towel on the wax and pass a iron over the paper towels back and forth, this should melt the wax onto the paper towels, but remember to change the towels as often as is required
Use a metal knit comb with tissue attached. Comb it into the carpet, under the wax and lift it repeatedly. You could also try ironing newspaper over it. newspaper will soak up the melted wax. ou can do this on the wall to, but it may leave a small flat residual trace on the wall if it is not completely flat. heat is the key to re-melt it, then mop it up.
Eucalyptus Oil or Tee Tree Oil work fantastically and leaves a really nice and fresh after smell to boot.
Either that or check out any web site that has household tips. Martha Stuarts site etc.
