Answers:
You're just bragging.

steam clean the carpet
Lick it off.
washing up liquid soak for an hour and scrub lightly
Steam machine, if you have'nt got one, see if you can borrow one.
depends what it is of course, but try leaving it covered with a wet towel for a couple of hours- often this 'un-dries' the stuff and you can just wipe the worst of it away.
If it is sugar based, just wet with plenty of water, leave for 10-15 mins, lift water with a towel. Repeat if needed. This will ensure no sticky detergent residues
we have pets and tried professional dry cleaning when we moved from our last house. It didn't work well, we still had to pay the money, I used some generic brand pet remover stuff and that spray works wonders, I would bow down to it if it were a god, but that really works.
Ice.... freeze it till its solid then pick it off. Slow but works.
Try making a paste of bicarb soda and water and spreading it out over the stain, leave it overnight and scrape it off. Rub the stain with water and vinegar and then put an old towel over it. This way it will soak up the excess liquid on your carpet.
Be more careful the next time .
