My clothes have specks on them after washing. How do i get rid of them?
Question:After washing my clothes, I've found that certain clothes get little white specks of fabric or otherwise stuck to them, and it's very annoying. How do I prevent/fix this problem?
Answers:
what you are describing is called 'pilling'
1-don't overload your washer
2-don't wash towels(terrycloth) with your
clothes
3-sweats and anything 'fuzzy' should NOT
be washed with other clothes
4-clean the lint trap in your washer and dryer
regularly
5-you can buy electric clothes shavers-or
CAREFULLY shave off the 'pills' (fuzzies)
with an old disposable razor
don't overload your machine. If you have hard water , you should be using more detergent than usual. Your water is hard is it leaves a skim around the tub, and doesn't suds very well
Dont wash light and dark clothes together. Also, don't wash towels/terry cloth - anything fuzzy - with clothing. You might be able to remove them using a "clothes shaver" - a battery operated devise you can probably find in the laundry section of a grocery/Wal-Mart.
Pour one cup of White Vinegar into the hottest wash water your clothes can handle, do not add any detergent to this wash water put on a full cycle and wash your clothes in this solution, your clothes should come out clean and lint free with this solution, if this does not remove the specks fully then repeat process. Good Luck !
