this it called a traffic area and it's possible worn a little and that's why it appears soiled
try getting a professional in or hiring a shampooer or any suggestions you get here but if the traffic areas worn there will aways be a mark there
unless you get the carpet dyed
I like to use Wool-lite Upholstery Cleaner, I would then guard it against futher stains with ScotchGuard.
you need to rent a carpet shampooer and dont use a lot of soapy cleaners you will be amazed how well vinegar works to remove stains in carpet mix it as strong as you need it wont hurt your carpet and you can use degreaser too the only thing with real soapy solutions is that you may not get all the soap up and it will be sticky after it dries and every time you walk in that area it will pull the dirt of your shoes and everyones that passes through make sure you deep clean it too dont stop if it looks clean keep going over the spot if you think it sto wet then sit a fan on it to help it dry
Men's shaving foam. No I am not joking just buy a cheap can of it and you'll be surprised. I was told this by a man that cleans carpets for a living he uses it for different stains.
You need to presoak the Really dirty areas in your Home with Carpet Shampoo and then use a Carpet Shampooer to clean the whole house with carpet. You can prevent this from happening in the future, by taking off your shoes at the door..
I have had this problem too. The only thing that cleaned it really well was the Resolve High Traffic foam. Or a professional cleaner. But the only thing that lasted was a rug. Also you can get like a scotch guuard from some of the professional cleaners. But a rug did the trick for me. Hope this helps.
