Are there any reusable cloths that would work for a normal SWIFFER sweep?
Question:What are they.. and where can I get some?
Answers:
I don't know that you can buy anything like that, but you could cut down another mop brand cloth, put velcro on it and use it. Before Swiffer, I had a flat mop that came with two terry covers with elastic around them that held them to the mop head. You could even make your own terry mop pads pretty easily.
Cloth diapers work very well. You can purchase old used ones, the very best kind because they are already all soft and lint free, from a diaper service in your area. They are worth their weight in gold and then some, and you can use them for so many other household chores! Great for dusting and washing your car too! To clean them just throw in the washer and dryer with normal laundry detergent, but don't use fabric softener or dryer sheets, that will cut down on their absorbency.
I made my own out of an old flannel shirt . . . cut them large enough to wrap around a stuff into the holes. You can wash and reuse them.
Along with what others have said with the cloth diapers and flannel. Old t-shirts would probably be good because people generally have a lot of them. Just cut them into pieces the size of the swiffer cloth.
I use a small piece of terry towel big enough to push in the holes to keep in secure.
