Cleaning a ceramic tile floor....?
Question:It seems that I'm always cleaning this kitchen floor because it seems to hold so much dirt. I am looking for a way to clean the ceramic tile efficiently but easily. I've used the Swiffer Wet Jet, not happy, I've used a mop, not happy, I've even used two rags under my feet and squirt cleaning solution while skating around on the floor to clean it better, I got a good workout but my floor never seems to look great. Has anyone tried the Floor Mate? does it work well? Any other suggestions?

i used to install tile for a living, i always cleaned my finished jobs up with phosphoric acid ( the same stuff thats in coca cola) you can buy it in almost any hardware store for cheap and it does a great job. mop your floor with a mix of 1/2 gal. acid to 2 gal. hot water, and rinse with hot water afterwards. itll look great and smell pleasant as well. you might also want to get your grout lines sealed you can do it yourself which is a pain or you can pay someone about 50 - 75 cents a foot to do it for you.
well its not easy, but I use a deck scrubber on my moms. It gets all the cracks and I wipe it up with an old towel.
I would suggest first using a stiff brush (like it was suggested earlier, a deck brush) with just warm water. Then go over the floor lightly with a mixture of 1 cup household vinegar and 1 gallon warm water with a regular mop.
I bought a handheld steam cleaner example (the shark). They work wonders.
