How to get black tub rings out of the tub?
Question:new friend moved into an apartment and the tub is filthy!
Answers:
fill the tub up w/ water and bleach, more bleach than water and let it sit until dirt comes up. Bleach gets dirt out of surfaces but you will still have to do a lil scrub just to get it the way you want.
Go to Lowes, Home Depot, etc. (some regular food store chains carry this as well) and get a quart sized bottle of "Greased Lightening". This stuff works great in the Bathroom on all fixtures, and is an excellent cleaner for most everything except floors (unless WELL rinsed, the floor will get sticky). I think they have a website - www.greasedlightning.com Check it out.Read the instructions on the bottle, there are some surfaces that it's not recommended for use on. I use this cleaner all the time, and get the 1-gallon refill, it's worth it.
Kaboom ! You can buy it anywhere. It cleans off anything.
I like liquid Comet when cleaning a bath tub. Squirt some all the way around the tub & then use a sponge or scrubbing pad (Scotch Brite) to clean the tub. Softscrub w/bleach is another great cleaner to use on a tub, as dirty as yours is.
I've had great sucess using those magic eraser things. It even got stains left over from mold off the walls before we put the new mold paint on.
I swear by Baking Soda. Make a thick paste and this stuff will remove most any stain, including rust.
At home depot they sell a product called Zep shower cleaner, that works wonders for me.
