How do you get a barbecue stain out of a shirt without using bleach?
Question:I don't want to use bleach, most of the shirt is white, but it has blue stripes.
Answers:
Use Oxyclean. You can get it at Walmart.
Use Shout, u can get it at Walmart too!!
I really believe in oxyclean. if you just rub it in a little (dampen the cloth) and let it set in, then wash, it has always worked for me. I use it on my babies stained clothes and my husbands clothes. It is not harsh like bleach but still works really well.
Lestoil will remove the stain. Always test first on an area that does not show.
Rub the cleaner into the stain and let the shirt sit for 15 minutes before washing. You may have to rinse the shirt several times to remove the odor of the Lestoil.
A Maitre'd in a fancy restaurant told me that is what they use for stuborn stains. It works!
I would not try it on an expensive silk shirt however; that would go to the dry cleaners.
I am a firm believer in a product called "AWESOME" you can find it at any dollar general store. in my area it is only $1.00 for a spray bottle it can be used for many purposes. Spray it directly on the stain and let it set for alittle while, be sure to saturate the spot though. wash in at least warm water this product will not hurt the color in your clothes.
lots of luck
Tru wd-40 or totally awesome cleaner from the dollar store
I also use Oxyclean. Spray-n-Wash is a good product as well. If the stain is a bit oily or has a tomato base, use the Oxyclean.
Go buy SHOUT brand spot remover. It works the best! Spray it on the spot, rub in and then wash asap. I once spilled chocolate milk all over a pair of white pants. ANother time I slipped in mud while wearing a pair of white capris. I washed both pants after spraying on SHOUT and they came out completely! You cant tell that I ever got anything on those pants.
you can put a little bit of dishwashing liquid on it and let it soak for a bit...this works pretty well for me...u can also use spray n wash dual power...that stuff is amazing...
