SAHM needs a "to do" list to say on task!?
Question:I'm a SAHM of 2 girls, 2 and 7 months. I know there are all knids of things looming over me that I need to get done each day. I'm having a really hard time making a complete list of chores and general things to do. I need help with time manangement. Please make suggestions of things that should be done daily and weekly. THANKS!
Answers:
I would make a few lists. One would have the things I need to do every day (like cook, clean up the kitchen, etc.) The 2nd list would have chores that need to be done once a week. The third list would have stuff that can be done seasonally (like wash the patio furniture.) The 4th (and final) list would be stuff that needs to be done either long term or big projects.
I would take the weekly list & assign days to those chores and make sure they get done on the appropriate day. I would take the 3rd & 4th lists & go over them with my husband to get his help. It may also help to break the 4th list down into do-able tasks. Once you have a list of tasks, you can assign them to different days of the week. Then you'll have your daily to-do list completed and you can begin working on it.
It sounds a little complicated, and may take a few minutes to set up, but this system really does work. Once you get the hang of it it doesn't take any time at all to implement.

Whenever you think of something, write it down.
Laundry, dishes, cooking, cleaning, bathing the kids, waking them up, putting them down for their naps, more laundry (heh), doctor's appointments, cleaning/picking up toys, etc., grocery shopping, clothing shopping, paying bills, etc.
lay down all day. eat food. play outside.
