How to clean pen ink from cloths?

try hair spray , advoid using hot water as heat will set stains.
I spray hairspray on the spot and then wash as normal..

I have to go along with everyone else.hairspray will do the trick. Just keep repeating the process until it comes out. Spray, rub a little, then rinse, and repeat until it comes out.
Pour a little rubbing alcohol on it before you put it in the washer. Also hand sanitizer, like GermX will work because it has a high alcohol content. We get ink on us all the time at work and use germx it works great.
Remove ink by using Rubbing alcohol pour some on a cloth and dab at stain until lightened, then remove the remainder with White Vinegar by pouring on some vinegar and wash as usual, when removing ink always use a white cloth to avoid any color transfer to clothes.
Or you can use Hairspray, just spray on dab at stain while wet to remove some of the ink then just wash as usual. If this does not remove all then just repeat the step.

For gel ink, liquid hand soap with cold water is the best solution I've found.
Always try to clean stains before washing/drying the stained item, if possible.

I use rubbing alcohol. You can try soaking site with it, then wash piece in washer, you may need to do this same procedure a couple of times tho.
re-wash it by itself
