How do you fix rips in jeans?
Question:I have thick thighs and my jeans ripped on the inside of my thighs is there any way to fix them without them looking like they never ripped? Please No smart remarks and nobody saying "Why don't you just buy new ones?"...These are my fave jeans and I really want to fix them...Thanks

This happens to my daughter as well. I cut a piece of denim from a discarded pair of jeans, put it on the inside and sew the hole together as close as possible (by sewing the actual jeans to the inserted backing) and zig zag around the opening a few times for strenght so it doesn't rip out. Since it is on the INSIDE of the thigh, it doesn't show much.
Good Luck and hang on to fav jeans as long as possible!
sew it together
get some denim iron on patches. iron them on the inside of the leg. Just try to close up the hole as much as possible when you do it so it is not too noticable.
You could buy some iron on patches that are made for patching holes. You can cut them down to size if need be & round the corners of the patches before using a "hot" iron. Make sure the patch itself, extends past the hole itself so the patch will hold good once it's been ironed on. You can buy these patches usually where the sewing notions are sold at Wal* Mart, etc. I hope this advice is helpful.
