How do i get the green mold that forms on my glasses nose pads off?

Question:This only forms in the summer months. ty

Answers:
it is a chemical reaction between the pads on your glasses and the pH of your skin. You sweat more in the summer, so the reaction is more noticeable.
You can try putting a dab of clear nail polish on you nose pads to make a barrier, or get the pads replaced at the optometrists to a different material for summer

WTF ? Mold ? are you sure its not just scum ? from Oily skin ?
I'd say with Lime-A-Way or any type of bleach mixed with water...anything you'd use on fabric or other surfaces, good luck!
Soap and a little water on an old toothbrush. The plastic bristles won't scratch your lenses. Then just let it dry!
It's not mold, it's copper oxide. You have cheap frames, nosepads, or screws causing this problem.
Just use a q-tip and a solution of 5 parts water to one part bleach. Dab it on. Let it sit for a few minutes then rinse well and with a soft cotton towel.
Most likely whats happening is that you have a slight allergy to nickel. I work in optical and see this happen alot. Most peoples skin have high acidity or a slight nickel allergy. The best thing to do is go where you got your glasses and im sure they will replace your nose pads for you at no charge. Its good to change them every couple months so the oil doesnt cause you to break out. But dont use a toothbrush to clean them it will scratch your lenses.
I've had this problem before, and this is what I did:

I used a highly concentrated glass cleaner-- the one I used is called Touch of Purple. But I am sure you can use anything-- like Windex.

1. Open the bottle of glass cleaner
2. Pour glass cleaner and warm water in a bowl (2 parts glass cleaner, 1 part water), or the basin of your bathroom sink (plug the sink).
3. Soak glasses in water for 20 minutes, or longer if necessary, to soften up the mold.
4. Swish the glasses before rinsing them with water from the faucet.
5. Repeat until the mold is gone.

If this technique isn't working, then you may need to use a jewelry cleaning brush to get the mold off, after soaking the glasses.
I just use some water and an old toothbrush. Works wonders.
I get that too. I unscrew the pads and wipe them down with q-tips and rubbing alcohol.
are you serious, MOLD on the glasses.
I would put in a bucket of bleach and let it sit for a while, then get an used tootbrush and scrub that mold off.thats freakin gross...
