CLR will really get rid of those stubborn calcium deposits.
CLR or Green Monster (hard to find stuff, industrial grade)... or my grandma's secret.. vinegar and baking soda.
I've found that Shower Power works very well. It may take more than one application. Be careful though.it's very slippery and the fumes can be overpowering after a while.
I'm surprised the vinegar didn't work but it does have to soak to remove mineral deposit. For my shower head I use a baggie of vinegar and affix it with a rubber band, works every time. Can you remove the doors, lay flat and soak? If that doesn't work perhaps the manufacturer of the door can help.
(from previous yahoo question)
It's not easy but it works: wet a dryer sheet, rub down the entire door in a circular motion (use some pressure). Spray with hot vinegar and wash the doors as if they were windows. Back to the dryer sheet, repeat the process until every stain is off.
If you have a few extra hours, use oil after the dryer sheet to help waterproof the doors to keep away future stains. It's a pain in the butt to get off, but worth the effort.
or I use toliet bowl cleaner without bleach. Rub on and return in a 30 minutes re wet with water rub again and rinse. If stains are stubborn repeat.
Lemon oil works very well and it doesn't require much effort.
We have the hardest water I have ever seen - well water. I have found a new product called "BAM" that works well. Spray it on and let it sit awhile.
The best thing is to use the CLR to remove the hard water stains but remember..you MUST prevent them and that's what I want to tell you how I do. I have clear shower doors and have never had to even scrub them at all because I keep a squeegee in the shower and whenever anyone takes a shower, they SQUEEGEE the shower glass completely after fininshing their shower. If you do this, you will NEVER EVER have any hard water stains again!!! Just use the CLR to get them off and don't forget, SQUEEGEE immediately after turning the shower off. You will have the cleanest shower doors you could ever have!! I hope this helps! GOOD LUCK!!
